For the 42nd year, the gates at the Lakeland Linder Airport opened today for the Sun ‘n Fun International Fly-in and Expo. The usual compote of airplanes, avionics, and flight-gear are on display through Sunday, mixed up with an array of educational forums and workshops, and impressive afternoon and evening airshows.

Another historic airplane model has flown its final leg as the last flying Boeing 247 landed this week at King County International Airport/Boeing Field in Seattle, the same airport where it was built more than eight decades ago. The airplane will become a part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Flight.
